"Dear brothers and sisters, through the wounds of the Risen Christ we can see the evils which afflict humanity with the eyes of hope. In fact, by his rising the Lord has not taken away suffering and evil from the world but has vanquished them at their roots by the superabundance of his grace. He has countered the arrogance of evil with the supremacy of his love. He has left us the love that does not fear death, as the way to peace and joy. "Even as I have loved you -- he said to his disciples before his death -- so you must also love one another" (cf. John 13:34)."

Benedict XVI's Easter Message-2007

ha....the poor farmers....

The heavy summer rain is showering sufferings on the farmers especially of kuttanad. Now its time to reap and the harvest were expected to be good. But since the rain was heavy, it all gets destroyed and there are no sufficient laborers. Farmers in the state's 'rice bowl' Kuttanad have suffered the damage to piles of reaped paddy bunches as the inclement weather came in the way of moving them to drier areas to start threshing and winnowing.

Ready-to-harvest paddy in a stretch of 20,000 acres had been damaged in Alappuzha, Thrissur and Kottayam districts. The loss is likely to mount as the farmers were finding it difficult to start harvesting as rains continued to batter these areas.

The government and communist parties will not allow using machines. I feel its utter stupidity. The ministers are visiting the place and the press is giving publicity. Actually Who is there to see the suffering of these farmers???….GOD alone.

Now the central government may announce some 20-30 crores as relief. I believe the officers and politicians share a good amount of it and when the farmer approaches, it will be a long process. And at last will somehow manage to get some 10-30% of his lost dreams. THIS IS THE USUAL STORY. And its going to repeat this time too.the farmers will again commit suicide….

The unwise agricultural methods (time)- whole dependency on monsoon, weather etc has to be changed. And moreover the ugly political stuff. I hate it.

For the first time in my life I have seen a rainy GOOD FRIDAY. But still the church was unable to accommodate people. Everyone was there for KURISTE VASHI. I don’t know h ow many of us is following his path in their life. At least we find some time to evaluate ourselves, say pardon to Jesus, and promise never to commit a sin again. it occurs at every “GOOD FRIDAY KURISINTE VASHI.

God , my Jesus let me follow your path. Don’t let me indulged into the world luxury and evil. God , be light to me eyes and strength to my heart. Give me knowledge to see right from wrong, give me vision to see my fellow beings so that I reach your kingdom.

Let those lessons I learnt in my childhood be remembered always.

Thank God …Thank God for giving Thee to rescue us, the sinners. Forgive us.

What do the letters INRI at the top of Jesus' cross mean?

"Pilate also had an inscription written
and put on the cross.

It read,

"Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews."
Many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek"(John 19:19-20)

The Latin form of
"Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews" is
"Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum"

The first letters of this title
provides us with INRI.

the last supper

The Last Supper:

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread or Passover, Jesus sent two of his disciples ahead with very specific instructions on where to prepare the Passover meal. That evening Jesus sat down at the table with the twelve apostles to eat his final meal before going to the cross. As they dined together, he told the twelve that one of them would soon betray him. One by one they questioned, "I'm not the one, am I, Lord?" Jesus explained that even though he knew he would die as the Scriptures foretold, his betrayer's fate would be terrible: "Far better for him if he had never been born!" Then Jesus took the bread and the wine and asked his Father to bless it. He broke the bread into pieces, giving it to his disciples and said, "This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
And then he took the cup of wine, sharing it with his disciples and said, "This wine is the token of God's new covenant to save you--an agreement sealed with the blood I will pour out for you. He told all of them, "I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father's Kingdom." Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.
The Passover commemorated Israel's escape from bondage in Egypt. In Exodus, the blood of the Passover lamb was painted on the door frames, causing the plague of the firstborn to pass over their houses sparing the firstborn sons from death. The Last Supper was very significant because Jesus showed his disciples he was about to become the Passover Lamb of God. His blood would open the door to freedom. His followers would exchange slavery to sin and death for eternal life in God's Kingdom.
Typically wine is served four times during the Passover meal. According to Jewish tradition, the four cups represent four expressions of redemption. The first cup is called the cup of sanctification; the second is the cup of judgment; the third is the cup of redemption; and the fourth is the cup of the kingdom. • These verses surrounding the Last Supper form the biblical basis for the practice of Communion.
• There are 3 main Christian views regarding the blood and the wine during the practice of Communion:
-The bread and the wine become the actual body and blood of Christ. The Catholic term for this is Transubstantiation. - The bread and the wine are unchanged elements, but Christ's presence by faith is made spiritually real in and through them. - The bread and the wine are unchanged elements, used as symbols, representing Christ's body and blood, in remembrance of his enduring sacrifice.
Judas had already determined that he would betray Jesus, yet still he shared in the communion of the Passover meal.

my true color test result

Tressy, your true color is Red! Your color is red, the color of racy sportscars, blushing cheeks, and luscious roses. Red symbolizes passion, romance, and love. So, since you're ruled by red, you probably trust your feelings more than your brain and tend to act spontaneously. If you see something you want, you go for it without thinking twice — impulsive is your middle name. You don't wait around for people to make decisions, either; you dive right in. Quite the romantic, you pay close attention to your emotions. In fact, if your heart isn't in what you're doing, you won't be satisfied. Of course, even when you do pour all your energy into the projects you tackle, your impetuous nature means your passions can shift as frequently as the wind. That's why some reds have trouble with commitment. Our advice? Next time you're feeling fickle, think before you act, if possible. You might be surprised at the results. Overall, though, it's great to be red. No one lives life more completely than you do.

Usually I wake up at 7.30 am. After brushing and all I go to the study hall to see whether my books are I my table. Naturally there is a lot of Photostats and question papers spreading over there. There will be some left portions, from yesterday. Since it is a new day I make up my mind to start with a new subject. I think for 15 minutes and make a time table for the rest of the session. Then I clean my table and as I begin to start something friends are here to have the breakfast. Oooh ! the time is 8.00 am. After having uppuma/bread/parotta/puttu, my next move is to read newspaper. Hey , one must know whatever things are going around like the sensex stuff, glamour world romours, facts and new political dramas. Nooooo , there is no paper left there. There is already 3 or 5 reading the same. Struggling to get one sheet …and now the eedles of the clock have moved and its 9.00 am. Going back to the study hall I find all my friends seated at the seats and discussing some ‘international issue’. Ofcourse I try my part. After arriving at some conclusions I glanced through my timetable and start studying. After one hour so someone have given a hot news ‘ exam postponed’. Waaw/.. again a long discussion. And it last for another one hour. After confirming that the exam is not going to move anywhere we have our lunch , see the time is 11.30 am.a small nap ..man. so now its 3.00 pm. Time to have tiffin and time to play. And then a bath. Now its 6.00 pm .some study and prayer at 7.15 and then dinner at 8.00. recreation time -30 min. after prayer again finding seat at study hall and will glance through Photostats for 2 hours. And now time to sleep aa..a good is over and a good nite has come..
